The PMI Handbook

The Private Medical Insurance market at your fingertips

What is it?

The PMI Handbook is a specialist guide which compares Private Medical Insurance policies in the UK. The publication contains details on hundreds of different Private Medical Insurance policies in the UK market where cover comparisons can be made on a straightforward like-for-like basis.

The book is published by Craigdallie Publishing, specialist publishers of Private Medical Insurance information and provides a unique insight into the UK's PMI sector (including both individual and group schemes).

The PMI Handbook is widely regarded by industry professionals as the "Bible" in the UK PMI sector.

What does the book contain?

The PMI Handbook contains benefit comparisons of hundreds of PMI plans from over 25 providers. Each page is colour coded to make comparisons between plans even easier. The book simplifies the market by providing comparison details on Individual and Family plans, Group plans and Budget plans.

As well as the benefit comparisons, the book also contains a glossary of the main medical terms used in the market, a list of international PMI providers, a list of cash plan providers as well as full contact addresses, telephone numbers and web-site details for each UK PMI provider.

Some testimonials

"The PMI Handbook is a highly informative book and perfect for anyone who deals with PMI. The benefit details are well laid out and very easy to understand. I use it regularly to find policy specifics of other insurers, keeping me well ahead of the game".

Tom Smith, SME New Business Consultant at Axa Health

"The PMI Handbook helped us recently when re-broking a corporate PMI scheme, which resulted in the client saving around 20% on the proposed premium (around £22,000). The PMI Handbook is a great starting point when researching the PMI market. We ended up placing the scheme with a PMI provider we would probably not even have considered without the handbook. We find it a helpful & essential tool for keeping abreast of the market".
